Wakatobi is an Indonesian archipelago situated in Banda Sea.
The name is an acronym of its four biggest islands: WAngi-Wangi, KAdelupa, TOmia et BInongko.
It is not surprising that Jacques Cousteau, one of the most famous undersea explorers, has called the Wakatobi Islands: an "Underwater Nirvana".
These heavenly and little-known islands offer some of the best diving in Indonesia. Indeed, Wakatobi is home to more than 900 marine species and 25 coral reefs.
