We celebrated yesterday the Galungan Day in Bali, a Hinduism ceremony for honoring Goodness. It is a balinese celebration which lasts few days and starts three days before by the preparation of gifts. For this occasion Balinese people cook with bananas, they decorate street with "penjor" kind of bamboos poles as in the picture. But also they cook fried rice cakes called "jaja" for giving all to people they care about. Thanks to Galungan Day, Balinese people can meet each other and visit their family, pray together. After 10 days, they must pay tribute to all forebears and spirits, show their goodness by gifts and family reunion.
